Weekend Writings - #2
Continuing on with the Weekend Writings, I have my poem that I wrote after watching Inception. Inception is a movie about retrieving information from someone's dreams by going into them from another person. It has been a while since I have last watched Inception.
The title of this piece is, "Dreams Are You".
The meaning of this piece is the connection between our dreams and reality. During our dreams, it can almost as real as real life, but there are small indications to prove that a person is in a dream or in real life. For instance, when I dream, I can't see the faces of other people, only myself. Everyone else is what I like to call the "faceless", but the term "faceless" has different meanings to me, but that will be touched upon in other blog posts. Also, in the movie Inception, everyone has a 'token' that would tell them what they were in, either a dream or reality.
Most people, including myself, experience a reoccurrence of something that they could've sworn that they saw. This is called 'deja-vu' and it has come up with multiple theories and popular entertainment throughout human history. For example, it comes in the movie, "The Matrix", yet another great movie, as a glitch in the code meaning that someone was affecting the code. Additionally, there are theories also using 'Deja-vu' to prove that we are in a 'Matrix-like' computer generated world. I have this theory that my dreams can give insight to what will happen in the future because a lot of my dreams include scenes that later occur in real life in the exact same way, but there is no way for me to prove such things because there is no technology to record a dream just yet.
"Dreams Are You"
Dreams of the past,
Dreams of the today, and
of what Dreams may come.
Dreams of thoughts,
Dreams of Life
Dreams are neight right nor wrong
It was your dream,
It was as real to you as anything
Dreams of love
Dreams of hate
People need someone
to search for
For life has no purpose without love.
Dreams of Reality
